Susan Rice's testimony to House Intelligence committee delayed

Susan Rice, former national security advisor under President Barack Obama, is no longer slated to provide testimony to the House Intelligence Committee this Tuesday.

Rice became the flashpoint in the debates over leaks about the Trump administration after she was the focal point of a Bloomberg report that said she had requested the "unmasking" of the names of some U.S. citizens who were accidentally caught up in routine surveillance of foreign targets.

As the Russia investigations were in their initial phases, the Trump administration was rocked when the transcript of a surveilled phone call between then-National Security Advisor Mike Flynn and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak was leaked to the press.

The unmasking issues seemed likely to be part of the questioning Rice would face before the committee.

The committee still has a subpoena to the National Security Agency seeking documents related to Rice's unmasking activity in 2016.
